2018 Willamette Valley Rosé of Pinot Noir

2018 Willamette Valley Rosé of Pinot Noir

In classic Walnut City fashion, our 2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir offers gentle spring aromas of cherry blossom and citrus peel. Elegant floral accents waft in the margins of the fleshier notes of wild strawberry and raspberry bramble. Just enough weight on the mid-palate lls out the prevailing acidity and mineral presence.

Our direct press rosé starts with dedicated Pinot Noir grapes picked almost entirely from our estate La Cantera Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains. Harvested at lower ripeness than would be suitable for a fully extracted red wine, the fruit goes to press 50% whole cluster and 50% destemmed. The juice is settled overnight, racked to neutral oak barrels, and fermented dry.
