2015 Willamette Valley Reserve Chardonnay

2015 Willamette Valley Reserve Chardonnay

Our Reserve Chardonnay offers interlaced complexity influenced by multiple pick dates and the blending of two unique vineyard sites. Robinson Vineyard brings an effortless fruit-forwardness and subtly more tropical characteristics. Meier Vineyard lends restraint, tension and unique herbaceous and stony citrus fruit notes on the palate.

Together the result is a wine that is expansive and rich on the attack, but tightens up some on the energetic finish. The Reserve Chardonnay is delicious right now, but poised with the ample structure and acidity to age beautifully.

Hand harvested grapes are crushed and pressed to tank. The juice is cold settled overnight and then racked to barrel where it is inoculated. Primary fermentation takes 3-5 weeks and then secondary fermen- tation continues for another 2-3 months. Batonnage is carried out monthly and the wine is on lees for 10 months. It is then racked to tank where it awaits bottling in the winter.
