The beautifully framed 2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir offers exciting summer aromas of strawberries and cream, sweet citrus and ripe watermelon. Floral and bramble notes compliment the fleshier strawberry and raspberry fruit and round out a classic snapshot of Pinot Noir.

Our direct press rosé starts with dedicated Pinot Noir grapes picked almost entirely from our estate La Cantera Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains. Harvested at lower ripeness than would be suitable for a fully extracted red wine, the fruit goes to press 50% whole cluster and 50% destemmed.

90 Points Editors’ Choice WINE ENTHUSIAST

This well-built, budget-priced Willamette Valley Pinot deftly mixes its brambly fruit with light touches of herbs, skins and earth. Tannins are in the background, and it's the supple acidity that keeps it moving through a palate-pleasing finish.

2014 dolcetto

Vineyard Sourced : Jubilee Vineyard (Eola-Amity Hills AVA)

Alcohol : 13.4%

Cases Produced : 104

Aging : 10 months in 100% French oak

The beautifully clean fruit from this ideal year allowed us to be very gentle and unhurried. Hand harvested grapes were destemmed and punched down daily as the fermentations began slowly and uninoculated. After 23 days on the skins the wine was pressed. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

A long slow fermentation allowed for a very deep but gentle extraction. This becomes evident in the pure and lilting violet floral notes that introduce the wine. Brooding at first, the intensity and complexity of aroma builds with minutes in the glass until bright floral notes mix with dark boysenberry and cassis supported by earth and spice. The rich and generous palate sails effortlessly on to a long finish.

nv brut blanc de blancs

Vineyard Source : Sourced from sustainably farmed, estate vineyards in the Willamette Valley.

Alcohol : 13%

Dosage : 12 g/L

BDB Dosage.png

Our Brut Blanc de Blancs, lovingly crafted in the traditional Méthode Champenoise, is the culmination of efforts starting with fruit sourcing from multiple estate vineyards farmed by us. This bottling is both our addition to the growing neighborhood of sparkling wines from the Willamette Valley and effort to produce an affordable bottle of bubbles that still has great nuance, depth and approachability. Farmed sustainably, lees-aged, and disgorged on demand in small batch quantities.

A base wine, blended from multiple vintages, is the foundation for our Brut Blanc de Blancs. By blending across vintages, we can encourage a house style and smooth vintage variation. The mouthfeel is driven by fruit forwardness, rich textures and a friendly complexion that favors approachability over austerity.

2011 La cantera vineyard blanc de noir

BDN Dosage.png

Our Blanc de Noir is crafted in the traditional Méthode Champenoise. Whole-cluster pressed, barrel fermented and aged for 20 months on lees. Disgorgement took place in 2014, followed by an additional 4 years in bottle before release.

The planting of La Cantera (“The Quarry”) began over 30 years ago and has grown to over 28 acres of LIVE certified Pinot Noir.

2015 reserve chardonnay

Vineyards Sourced : 50% Meier Vineyard & 50% Robinson Vineyard

Alcohol : 13.2%

Cases Produced : 100

Aging : 10 months in French oak, less than 25% new

Our Reserve Chardonnay offers interlaced complexity influenced by multiple pick dates and the blending of two unique vineyard sites. Robinson Vineyard brings an effortless fruit-forwardness and subtly more tropical characteristics. Meier Vineyard lends restraint, tension and unique herbaceous and stony citrus fruit notes on the palate. Together the result is a wine that is expansive and rich on the attack, but tightens up some on the energetic finish.

This is a balanced, rather restrained reserve, which is not a criticism. Restrained does not mean simple; in fact, this two-vineyard blend combines applesauce, dried Italian spices, toasted hazelnuts and a dash of pepper in a harmonious, lingering and quite flavorful wine.

2016 reserve pinot noir

Vineyard Sourced : La Cantera (Chehalem Mountains AVA), Carlton Hill Vineyard (Yamhill-Carlton AVA), Yamhill Springs Vineyard (Yamhill-Carlton AVA) & Sylvia’s Vineyard (Eola-Amity Hills AVA)

Alcohol : 13.5%

Cases Produced : 450

Aging : 16 months in French oak barrels

Each year our Walnut City Reserve Pinot Noir represents the best of the cellar. The 2016 vintage delivered profoundly generous, well-structured Pinots. The grapes for this blend were estate-grown and farmed from multiple sub-AVA’s in an effort to express the Willamette Valley as whole.

An expressive nose of dried rose petal, tart cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry bramble stands prominently and in balance with a palate that is graciously ripe and balanced with bright acidity and a modest alcohol level. The weight and mouth feel are lifted and sleek with a generous, sweet mid-palate and very fine, evolved tannins on the finish. The Reserve is vibrant and energetic in its youth and will be eager to evolve in bottle over the next 8-10 years.

2015 La Cantera Vineyard pinot noir

Vineyard Sourced : La Cantera Vineyard (Chehalem Mountains AVA)

Alcohol : 13.5%

Cases Produced : 125

Aging : 18 months in French oak barrels

Some fermenters were completely destemmed and some were 100% whole cluster. 25% wholecluster in the final blend. All of the lots saw a 48 hour cold soak with daily pumpovers. The fermenters continued uninoculated with twice daily foot treading on the whole cluster lots and punchdowns on the destemmed lots. Wines were racked to barrel by block and clone and aged 18 months in 15% new oak before racking and bottling.

Depth and intensity defines the nose of the La Cantera Vineyard Pinot Noirs. The classic sweet spicy and dusty floral elements of this 30-year-old hilltop vineyard jump from the glass making a strong show of matching the layers of deep red cherry, pomegranate and bramble. An exciting, age-worthy, single-vineyard edition from our flagship vineyard!

2015 furioso vineyard riesling

Vineyard Sourced : furioso Vineyard (dundee hills AVA)

vine age : 45 years

Alcohol : 13.3%

Cases Produced : 50

IRF 2015 FUR RS.png

From some of the oldest Riesling vines in Oregon, our 2015 Furioso was made in classic German Auslese style. Healthy, late-ripened clusters were hand-picked and sorted at the vine. Grapes were then foot trod and left to soak on skins for 24 hours before being pressed and cold settled overnight. The juice was racked to tank and cold fermented for 6 weeks until the desired balance was reached.

The palate is driven by vibrant acidity and densely concentrated flavors of honeydew, citrus, honeycomb and ginger. Classic underlying notes of lanolin, quartz and a hint of petrol play a decidedly important role in in broadening the complex profile. The small amount of residual sugar gives textural depth and balances the acidity. Youthful and energetic with fantastic aging potential that we’re excited to see play out in time.

2015 furioso vineyard riesling ‘late harvest’

Vineyard Sourced : furioso Vineyard (dundee hills AVA)

vine age : 45 years

Alcohol : 13.4%

IRF 2015 FUR RS LH.png

From some of the oldest Riesling vines in Oregon, the 2015 Late Harvest Riesling began with a two-part pick targeting clusters showing high levels of botrytis and dehydration. Less affected clusters were designated for a traditional Auslese-style bottling.

A rich and densely concentrated dessert wine, our Late Harvest Riesling offers generous flavors ofcandied lemon and ginger. Aromas of lanolin and honey speak to the influence of the Botrytis. Thesubstantially high acid adds balance and lift to the 70 grams of residual sugar.

2015 mcivor vineyard riesling

Vineyard Sourced : mcivor vineyard (Yamhill-carlton ava)

vine age : 25+ years

Alcohol : 11.2%

Cases Produced : 25

McIvor Vineyard, one of the primary sources for both our Riesling and Gewürztraminer, is a gem of a site. In 2015 we picked about a ton and a half of beautifully clean, ripe clusters. Grapes were foot trod and left to soak on skins for 24 hours before being pressed and cold settled overnight. The juice was racked to tank and cold fermented for 6 weeks until the desired balance was reached.

The 2015 McIvor Vineyard Riesling brings intense citrus energy with rich undertones of pineapple and apricot. Cool fennel, licorice root and peppermint elements play to both varietal and site uniqueness and intrigue. The off-dry style adds both weight and depth. Finishes long, with dry, chalky minerality and tart lemon.
